I had hoped to see dragonflies at this pond, but in some ways this is more exciting. It is the empty case of a dragonfly larva or nymph which shows that they have been breeding here. If you are lucky enough to walk near a pond, do look out for dragonflies and damselflies and don't let your dogs play in ponds that might be good for wildlife.
