Orchids are such special flowers, not only because they are so beautiful, but because the rely on mycorrizal fungi in the soil. We are so lucky to have large numbers of orchids flowering on the golf course at the moment. Some appear to be Heath spotted (with a shorter middle lip on the flowers), while others are Common spotted (longer lip.) Just be careful not to tread on them and certainly don't pick them! Please leave them for other people and for insects to enjoy!
