Met a vole

We had assumed that a mouse had eaten all our seedlings but when my husband threw away his pear core on the vegetable patch, this vole appeared and we have a new suspect! You might be able to see that it has a white patch of fur, so we are hoping to be able to recognise it if we see it again. Voles have blunter, more rounded faces and shorter tails than mice but unfortunately they do like to eat seeds. We shall just have to plant some more!
