Jackdaws Part 2

Our jackdaw chicks have fledged. I missed the moment that they first flew this year but they appeared to come back for a day or so. Now our chimney is very quiet and I assume that they have all left. They bred in the cowl on the right. I am sure that when the sweep fitted the cowl, he said that it would stop birds nesting in it (we have had a number of young jackdaws fall down the chimney in previous years) but the narrow entrance didn't stop them this year.
