Dodder

Yesterday I walked over 10 miles around the Forest. I thought that it was strange that I didn't see any Dodder, then today I walked close to home and spotted the pinky red cotton-like strands of Dodder. It is a parasitic plant so it doesn't need the green pigment chlorophyll, getting its nutrients from the Heather it is climbing over. Look forward to seeing whether this flowers.
