Detectives

The weather hasn't been great for wildlife watching today. My lucky mother had two fox cubs playing in her garden this morning but I haven't see any cubs yet, I was pleased to see this rabbit early in the morning though. Rabbits used to be very common but two major diseases have meant that there are a lot fewer than there used to be and they seem to be quite shy round here. It is east to spot their burrows: they have much narrower entrances than fox or badger holes and their small brown droppings are also easy to see as they often leave them in piles. A lot of studying nature involves looking for clues and being a detective. Have you seen any signs of animals lately?
