Antlers

I've been watching the Fallow deer in the field opposite again. The bucks (males) and does (females) tend to be in separate groups at this time of year, although they all ended up together grazing last night. The bucks have shed (or cast) their old antlers and you can just see the new ones starting to grow, covered in velvet. If you are lucky, you might have found an old antler over the past few weeks.
