A very determined ant

Mrs Mace spotted this wood ant carrying a feather, which is so many times bigger than the ant itself. Ants of all types are very interesting to watch. They live in colonies where the ants have specific roles. They communicate and co-operate to feed and defend the colony. If you find ants, they are easy to study as they all tend to follow the same path.
